MALOOF MONEY CUP NY COURSE DESIGN RELEASED
MALOOF MONEY CUP NY COURSE DESIGN RELEASED
START OF CONSTRUCTION SIGNALS COUNTDOWN TO FIRST-EVER MMC BIG APPLE CONTEST!
NYC Event Set for June 5-6, 2010 in Flushing Meadows Corona Park, Queens: World-Class Skate Park to Be Built & Donated to City through Adopt-a-Park Program
(March 19, 2010, Irvine, Calif.) -- The Maloof Money Cup (MMC) the worlds greatest skateboarding event co-presented by Vans today released the design for the street course that will host the world?s best skateboarders at the 2010 Maloof Money Cup in Queens, June 5-6. The one-of-a-kind skate park, designed by pro skateboarders, will be donated to the City after the event through the NYC Parks & Recreation Departments Adopt-a-Park program.

Construction of the 16,000-square-foot skate park (being constructed on top of the former Astral Fountain in Flushing Meadows Corona Park) gets underway this month, signaling that the countdown to the first-ever Maloof Money Cup New York has officially begun. Pro skaters Chris Cole and Geoff Rowley, NY skate legend Steve Rodriguez and Joe Ciaglia, president of California Skateparks, led the design of the world-class street course.
The Maloof Money Cup New York street course was inspired by real skate spots from each of the five boroughs, said Rodriguez. Weve replicated and improved spots like the Ziegfeld ledge, Con Ed Banks and the Brooklyn Banks 9-stair rail. It will no doubt be exciting to watch the MMC pros break in the course that will become the local spot for many NY skaters for years to come.
The 16,000-sqare-foot course was inspired by NY street spots within the five boroughs, such as:
Original Brooklyn Banks 9-stair replica rail
Union Square rail/steps
Police Plaza 7-stair rail/various stairs
Ziegfeld ledge
Chrystie Park ledge
Exchange Place street gap
JFK Banks
Con Ed Banks
Pyramid ledges
Flushing Meadows Park ledge-over-the-grate replica
Various rails in public parks and the aesthetics of many of the spots in Brooklyn
We at Parks are thrilled to have this unbelievable facility. The Maloof Money Cup at Flushing Meadows Corona Park this June is a first for New York City and our Adopt-a-Park program, said Parks & Recreation Commissioner Adrian Benepe. Flushing Meadows Corona Park currently offers tennis, soccer, swimming, ice skating, cricket, baseball and more. On top of that, it's already the home of world-class sports facilities like the Billy Jean King National Tennis Center, and Citi Field. Making world-class skateboarding part of it all is tremendous.
Maloof Money Cup New York June 5-6, 2010
MMC New York will feature the VOLCOM STREET PRO as well as the World Industries amateur championship. The NY contest will offer free tickets distributed at partner outlets (seats are limited) and will also feature a 50,000-square-foot festival village hosting action sports retailers and a variety of skateboarding activities for all ages. The NY prize purse is nearly $250,000 in cash and prizes, with $100,000 going to the winner.
New York was first on our list of expansion markets because its the headquarters for skateboarding on the East Coast and is home to some of the most iconic skate spots in the world,?said Joe Maloof. With the Brooklyn Banks now closed for four years and the Unisphere set to close indefinitely, the timing was perfect for us to bring the Maloof Money Cup to New York City. The skateboarding community is really phenomenal in how open and inclusive they are of everyone. Weve always wanted to build a park that we can leave intact for everyone in the community to enjoy, and thanks to the NYC Parks & Recreation Department and support from Vans and other sponsors, we were able to make it happen.
When we heard that the Maloof Money Cup was going to include a contest in New York City and that we were going to be able to donate the park to the skaters of New York, we leapt at the opportunity to get involved, said Steve Van Doren, Vans Vice President of Events & Promotions. Were very fortunate to have a number of great skate parks on the West Coast and were excited to work with the New York skate community to create a world-class skate park."
About The Maloof Money Cup
Now entering its third year, the Maloof Money Cup, co-presented by Vans, will take place June 5-6 in Queens, New York and August 4-8 in Orange County, Calif. Tickets for the 2010 Maloof Money Cup Orange County will be available soon at all Ticketmaster locations or at the OC Fair & Event Center Box Office at the Pacific Amphitheatre. The New York event will offer free tickets (Tickets are limited and will be distributed at select partner outlets in NYC (Distribution points and schedule will be announced soon on the MMC Web site). Chad Bartie is now on ERGO
This pairing looks to be made in heaven.
Chad is an amazing skateboarder to watch – we are psyched on his style and know that his versatility and creative energy will have an incredible impact on our program,” says ERGO VP of Marketing, Pete DiSpirito.
Bartie will prove to serve as a catalyst in raising the bar for the rest of the ERGO team with more than a decade as a professional skateboarder under his belt. His attitude is also inspirational as he humbly says that his biggest career accomplishment was having turned his passion, skateboarding, into a living.

Greg Lutzka off Almost

Did you see this coming?
If there is such a thing as a digital pink slip then Greg Lutzka has just gotten one. Go to the Almost site, Greg Lutzka's name is notably gone from the team list.
Roster changes are have been fast and furious as they usually are this time of year. This change must have been in the works for a while. But what is next for Greg?
Hopefully not a lateral move or step down like the K-SWISS move.

Skate & Create II Special to Air On MTV2 Feb 6th

Set the TiVo, the DVR or the VCR for that matter if you are video illiterate. But make sure you get to see it!
"For the first time ever, a TransWorld TV show will be hitting the airwaves on an MTV network. Skate & Create II will have a one-hour special on MTV2. Now in its second year, S&C created the concept for this type of event. The special will be an exclusive look at the journeys of the four teams — etnies, C1RCA, DVS and DC — throughout the event. “Viewers will see all the drama and intense planning that went on during the two-month-long event,” says Ken Lewis, TransWorld SKATEboarding’s marketing and events director.
Skate & Create will air Feb. 6, at 11 p.m. Eastern and Pacific times. As always, check local listings".

The Focus Show in Review

The Focus Show by all accounts was a success. I can say that with confidence. The main goal of the show was to bring together skateboarding in the North East without all the other crap that is usually grouped in at other trade shows. Unlike the glam Orlando County Arena that hosts Surf Expo, the "Arena" that hosted the TFS was a gritty stripped down hall that still had some championship title banners from the previous Extreme Wrestling events gone by. All of the booth space was filled with either tables from small board companies or pop up tents from national giants. The guys from The Inspire Clothing Trend had a keg of Miller Light and Berentza gave out free shots of social lubrication.
Its hard to say who benefited the most from attending the show. After all, the local and small venders garnered good exposure, the shop owners got to see some of the people on the other end of the phone in person for the first time, and the large companies like Bones, addidas, World, and LRG showed to share some brotherly love. I met some great people and some, interesting, motivated, young companies, like Voyage, Keystone,Skatelamps, and Vengeance to name drop a few. Look for some give aways and product reviews in the future from these and some others here on Interstatemag.
The Mini Ramp Contest was a riot on wheels as shops entered two riders each in one of four heats to battle for cash. In the end Leo Heinert won, Chris Dezimas of NJ Skateshop took second and Kyle Nicholson got third.
The high Ollie winner was Luis Tolentino won the High Ollie Contest at 41″ congrats.
The Premier for Focus Mag's "Stay Focused" was moved from the Arena to the North Bowl Party due to technical problems. Five cities are featured Philly, Baltimore, Boston, Orlando, New York and DC in the 19 min short but sweet edit. Look for the video to be distributed free in an upcoming issue of Focus Mag and to be free as a download on the Focus web site. In paticular a great job was done on the Florida section filming as well as for the editing on the entire project.
The brother hood on the East Coast is stronger than ever. Thanks to Focus and all who came to support skateboarding!

The Focus Skate Trade Show coming Soon!
If you are not from the east coast you may not be familiar with Focus Skateboarding Magazine. Shops from Maine to Florida eagerly anticipate the free bimonthly print mag that spotlights ams, pros, and spots on the right coast. Founded in 05’ by life-long skateboarders Mazur and Heister, the duo launched stating “….our mission, to publish and distribute the highest possible quality magazine we could, shining light on what we see in the streets everyday and give a voice to the underground and underexposed shredders of the East Coast.”
Focus is always looking to improve the east coast scene and found a void to fill in the Northeast, a quaility skateboard show. The Focus Show will debut in Philadelphia on January 4th thru 5th. The show looks to effect positive change in the east coast skateboarding community by bringing together shops, vendors, and most importantly skateboarders. TFS is unlike others that have gone before and failed,(like the Atlantic City show). This show is for skateboarders. No paintball, no extreme kiteboard, or surf venders will be on the floor.
Other events during TFS include:
2-hour ramp jam session
Brian Tucci Highest Ollie Challenge
The premiere of "Stay Focused"
Random Street Skating in Philly
Interstatemag will be there and we encourage you to buy booth space, represent your shop, and come rub elbos with your east coast brethren.
The Focus Show will be held at The Arena located at:
7 W. Ritner St., Philly, PA 19148 - just off of I-95!

Australia's Renton Millar is the 2009 WCS Vert Champion and Brazil's Carlos de Andrade is the 2009 WCS Street Champion
Don Bostick of WCS reports:
Australian Renton Millar started off the WCS Points Race for Vert with a win at the Oi Vert Jam in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and then a 3rd place at the Asian X Games, backed up with another win in Rome, Italy. The Maloof Money Cup was his throw away comp, placing 12th. He went into the last event, the in Berlin, Germany already securing the 1st place ranking for the year, but then he improved his points by placing 4th and landing him 500 points above 2nd place Adam Taylor. Adam also had a fantastic year, finishing off the Berlin event with a hard earned 2nd place. The winner of Berlin, Danny Mayer then finished 3rd in the 2009 WCS Point Race.
In Street, the title came down to 2 skaters, Carlos de Andrade and Rodolfo Ramos both from Brazil. The last event of the year in Berlin, Germany, would decide the overall champion . Interesting enough, in Berlin one year ago, the same two skaters finished the competition in first and second place. This year coming into Berlin, just one week after the comp in Rio de Janeiro, Carlos was leading Rodolfo by the narrow margin of 50 points. This year Berlin proved a little different as both skaters failed to make the finals. In the end, Carlos de Andrade placed 6th and Rodolfo placed 7th. By a mere 100 points Carlos was declared the 2009 WCS Points Race Champion. Rodolfo Ramos in 2nd and Austen Seaholm finished in 3rd.
Congratulations to all the skaters this year that participated in the Points Race. We are currently working hard on the event schedule for 2010 and will soon be announcing the Points Race events for 2010.

Ryan Decenzo goes Pro!

We have learned that Ryan Decenzo has reached Pro status at Darkstar. The Darkstar site has a peep of what Ryan's first pro model will look like. The 07 Tampa Am winner has paid his dues and shown he is ready.
This year has been good for Ryan. Soon after winning the Maloof Money Cup Am contest Ryan hit the Dew Tour. Ryan took a podium in Boston and finished 4th overall for the year.
Oh yeah, not to mention the two best trick wins at Salt Lake City and Portland.
So its seems this bump up is well deserved. Congrats Ryan.

Voting Continues for Bangers for Bucks Skate Contest at Surf Expo

Shops from across the country are vying for the final three slots for the retail shop contest, sponsored by Eastern Skateboard Supply and Vans.
A total of ten teams will compete for $15,000 in cash and prizes, including instant cash for the skaters and thousands of dollars in merchandise credit for their store. Seven of the stores were chosen by the skate media and Surf Expo, but the final three slots are still open. That's where your vote comes in.

Click here to watch the videos of the prospective stores and then vote for the shop you think deserves one of the final three slots in the Bangers For Bucks contest. Voting opens today and runs through December 15.
The three shops with the most votes get a Golden Ticket to compete which includes: free accommodations in Orlando, media exposure, coverage on surfexpo.com, several planned catered events, an opportunity to take home thousands of dollars in cash and prizes for themselves and their shop, and access to influential leaders of the skate industry.
Created by Martin Ramos of Kona Skate Park, Bangers For Bucks will be held on a one-of-a-kind Team Pain course.
Why is the team format of Bangers For Bucks important?
Martin Ramos: Skateboarding is an individual sport and we usually compete for individual awards, but we didn’t come up individually. We came up with our bros, the guys who we went skating with every day. Those are the guys we fed off of, the guys who pushed us. That’s how any skater comes up—nobody goes out there and just learns everything by himself.
That’s why the Bangers For Bucks format is so good. For the first time you get to recognize that group of skaters who helped to motivate and grow a skate scene in a particular area. To be able to put that team on stage together and to see what they can do as a group, is a bit like watching them during a regular session. It’s like something you’d see at 2:00 a.m. down on some loading dock. It’s that same group out there pushing each other—and it’s a new thing we’re tapping into with the Bangers For Bucks contest.
How will the contest work? What’s the format?
Ten teams from shops all over the country will compete. Seven shops were chosen by FTK Magazine, Focus Magazine, and Surf Expo. The remaining three slots are “Fan Favorites” and any shop has a chance to be chosen. All they had to do is register on surfexpo.com. Voting opens on December 1 and the three shops that receive the most votes by December 15 will be invited to compete.
Teams consist of three to five riders and one team manager/shop owner. On the first day of the contest, January 14, individual teams members will compete in a best trick contest for instant cash prizes. The eight shops whose riders earn the most cash will go on to the finals on Friday.
On Friday, teams will square off in head-to-head, single-elimination battles. Two teams will face each other, each skating as a crew for a five-minute jam. Judges will be placed at each zone and every trick landed clean will receive one to ten points. The team with the most points will advance, and the team that wins three battles in a row will be crowned the Bangers For Buck champion!
What’s The Course Design
Bangers For Bucks is about street skating, and the course Team Pain has designed for us reflects that. It’s real and a bit raw. We didn’t try to combine a bunch of different elements and then round it all off. The course will feature many of the same types of elements that these guys skate all the time.
We also wanted to create a course that didn’t have a lot of opposing traffic. We didn’t want to create a collision course. It flows like a line, switches direction, and culminates with a large eight-stair at the end.
It’s a great course. Tim [Payne, Team Pain’s President] and I go way back, so it was only natural for us to get together on this thing. Getting the course right has been really a fun part of the process.
Why is the involvement of Focus and FTK so important?
Focus Magazine and FTK Magazine represent skateboarding at its most grassroots level. Those are the guys covering these skate shop crews. They have a direct relationship with the best shop teams in the country, so it seemed natural to have their input on who should represent at Bangers For Bucks. These are the guys who know what’s going on.
Explain the thinking behind the three Fan Favorites?
The really exciting part of this contest, and what makes it so unpredictable, is the three Fan Favorite choices. Any shop, from any area, can be voted in to the contest. It’s anybody’s game. Hopefully the champion will be the most unknown shop that goes out there and shines. That’s what makes it super exciting.
We also want to involve everyone. For a while there were lots of team events with different formats being tried out. Unfortunately, with the recession, a lot of that support has gone away. It’s great to have the opportunity that Surf Expo has given—along with Eastern Skate Supply and a host of other sponsors—to finally put something together that’s going to showcase all types of shops.
It’s going to be a lot of fun, not only for the shops competing, but exciting for the spectators to watch as well.
At the January 14-16 Surf Expo show, ten skate shops will compete for $15,000 in cash and merchandise credit at our inaugural Bangers for Bucks contest. Below are the seven shops chosen by FTK Magazine, Focus Magazine, and Surf Expo.
Who will they compete against? That's where you come in.
Check out the list of fan favorites to the left and then vote for the shop you'd like to see compete at Bangers. The top three vote getters will receive the Golden Ticket to Orlando for the Bangers For Bucks competition.

50 Skate Kid

50skatekid is the story of an eleven-year-old boy on a mission to skateboard in all 50 states. The ride began in Wilmot Flat, NH, on September 1, 2009, and ends in Washington DC in May 2010.
The idea germinated during a frustrating homework assignment about North Dakota, when Logan declared that he “would learn more by actually going to North Dakota!” Somehow, this conversation led to high level discussion of experiential learning and dedication to one’s passion (skateboarding, in Logan’s case). The result is a very interesting plan for a sixth grader.
Currently the trip is half way completed and the guys are in Florida. To check the route he is following or to help suppurt the journey check out the 50skatekids blog here:

Skateboardings walking flashback to the 70's Richie Jackson Arrested at Gunpoint

The Daily Telegraph by way of ESPN reports
THIS is what happens when you try to take an early-morning nap in the grounds of one of Sydney's top schools.
More than 12 armed police officers in five cars descended on Sydney Grammar School when its alarm went off early yesterday morning.
After searching the premises, they found a man with a skateboard had broken into the gated grounds.
In the ensuing short chase, the man attempted a quick escape by scaling the front fence of the school on College St.
But officers were too quick - cornering him and holding him at gunpoint. The man told police he was looking for somewhere to sleep.
As he was led to a paddy-wagon, he explained: "I figured it would be better to sleep in there than in the park.''
Sleep in the park? Hippie to the bone.

World Cup Skateboarding hits Rio for the Nescau Energy Festival

World Cup Skateboarding has added a new event to this years calender, The Nescau Street Festival in Rio Brazil. Nescau is Portuguese for Nestle' the multi national food corporation bring us great products like Quick, Crunch and Aero candy bars. But I digress. Nestle' is putting up the cash and the usually cast of characters will be showing up. As you might guess that would include local heros Bob Burnquist, Sandro Dias, Rodolfo Ramos, brother Wagner Ramos, Fabrezio Santos, Carlos de Andrade, Xaparral Lucas, Allan Mesquita, and Rodil Rust.
Nyjan Houston, Paul Rodriguez, and Chris Cole are the World Cup points leaders and may make an appearence. It may not be a priority for them to show but WCS8 is paying for the ride to Rio. Who would turn down a free trip to Rio? Chris Cole who has discovered contest skating this year is on a tear. His winning way at the Maloof Money Cup, AST Orlando, Back to the Bergl, and being crowned Dew Cup Champion has put more than $300k in his pocket and is easily the favorite to win. Others skating are Tyler Hendley, Adam Dyet and Austen Seaholm.
In addition to the street action a cork screw has been erected on the beach at Copacabana. Bob will be sure to hit but it will be interesting to see who else does it and if anyone eats shit on it.
World Cup Skate wraps up the 09 season in Berlin, Germany December 5th and 6th with the T-Mobile Contest.

The Alli Show to feature Chaz Ortiz and Jack Olson
The Seventh episode features Chaz Ortiz and Gatorade Free Flow Tour Finalists Sammy Schoonderwoerd and Zane Timpson and will air Saturday, November 21st at 11:00 p.m. EST (Check your local listings) on MTV2
This episode is a glimpse into what its like to be an up-and-coming skater in today’s world. It follows two different groups of amateur skateboarders as they compete at local stops of the Gatorade Free Flow Tour and then prepare for and compete in the Finals. The Alli Show first joins Sammy Schoonderwoerd and Zane Timpson, two young vert skaters who live in Encinitas and have grown up skating with all the major vert pros. Also featured are Jack Olson and his friend Corey Millett, two street skaters from Minneapolis. The Alli Show watches as both pairs travel to Salt Lake City, where it’s everyone’s first time in the Finals except for Olson, who competed last year as well. Watch as they deal with the nerves, excitement, and fun of the Finals, and as Olson’s prior experience pays off and he comes away with the overall skate park win. Fifteen-year-old Chaz Ortiz, former Gatorade Free Flow Tour champion and 2008 Dew Cup winner, also weighs in, giving perspective on what his life has become since winning the amateur series two years ago and cheering on his friend Olson as he competes this year.

"The Focus Show" to Debut in Philadelphia

Man Allegedly Stole $365K from Skateboard Pro Ryan Sheckler

Stealing is wrong no matter who does it, be the mob, wall street or the government. (though they are the same entity) But the following story of redistibutive wealth posted by myFOXla.com made us smile just a little.
Huntington Beach - A San Clemente resident who handled business dealings for professional skateboarder Ryan Sheckler was arrested and charged Friday with embezzling more than $365,000 from his 19-year-old boss.Matthew Mercuro, 36, faces up to six years and eight months in prison if convicted of two felony counts of grand theft with sentencing enhancements for allegedly stealing more than $200,000 and $65,000, said Deputy District Attorney Brian Mulherin.
Mercuro worked as the chief financial officer from June 2008 to April of this year for two companies owned by Sheckler, whose MTV reality show, "Life of Ryan," was canceled earlier this year.
Mercuro is accused of embezzling more than $365,000 from Ryan Sheckler Rips LLC and Sheckler Merch 2 LLC by transferring money from the corporate accounts into his own personal accounts, as well as those of his wife and a friend, Mulherin said.
Other executives with the companies noticed some discrepancies and alerted authorities, the prosecutor said.
Huntington Beach police investigated the case and arrested the suspect at his business in San Clemente, Mulherin said.
It was not immediately clear why Huntington Beach investigators were involved in the case, and calls to the department were not immediately returned.
The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information was asked to call Huntington Beach police Detective Mark Garcia at (714) 960-8848 or Supervising District Attorney Investigator Ron Frazier at (714) 347-8691.
Arraignment is scheduled Tuesday for Mercuro, who is being held in lieu of $400,000 bail. If he makes bail, he has to prove any money posted was legally obtained, Mulherin said.

Shoptoberfest Results

The first Shoptoberfest was a huge success with shops from all over the Mid-Atlantic showing up to battle for bragging rights and the top prize of $1000 cash. Four obstacles were chosen at York, PA's Reid Menzer Memorial Skatepark (manny pads, hubba ledges, bump to bar & euro gap, 8 stair & rail) for 22 shop teams to showcase their talents. It was clear from the first obstacle, judges "The Crew" would have their hands full. Every shop had riders breaking out their best tricks, but in the end it was Baltimore's Skatology taking home the win, with their rider Ian Smith, taking home an extra $250 for the best skater prize. 3 Ride Shop took home $500 in second place, with upstart shop Reign from Langhorn, PA taking home $250 and 3rd place. Look for full coverage in the upcoming issue of Focus Skate Mag.

Reef Drops Skate Team, Sandro Dias finds new home at Adio

Do to the recent economic down turn, Reef dropped its entire skate team. Thanks a lot guys for supporting skateboarding. But "The Reef Girls" did not get the ax they are still employed so not to worry. But Sandro Dias on the other hand spent a few weeks with out a sponsor. Well it has worked out well for Sandro as adio has found a spot on its roster for him. If it seems like the adio shoe doesn't fit consider verty Shaun White and Lincoln Ueda are also on their team. Andy Macdonald also informs me that Sandro is a part owner of Adio Brazil.

City Stars welcomes new rider Kechaud Johnson to the team.

City Stars welcomes new rider Kechaud Johnson to the team. Kareem stated that "Kechaud is the future of skateboarding" in his TWS Check Out, and that's exactly what he said about Mikey Taylor in "In Bloom". So we will see if history repeats itself this time around.
City Stars also has named its 2nd pro for the team. Aquil Braitwaite is City Stars newest pro and you should be able to pick up his board at your local skateshop by the time you read this. We will keep you updated with any other news regarding City Stars.

X Games 15 TV Schedule and Coverage

Jake Brown came threw and beat out last years winner Bob Burnquist. Bob recycled his Big Air tricks from last year. His tricks sick non the least were not enough, the judges wanted more. Rob Lorifice a surprise to some but not to me came it third. Rob has been ripping hard for the last couple of years. It seems that hanging with Vans and Rockstar team mate Bucky Lasek has been having some positive affect on his skating.

Tim Zom wins the 2009 Grandprix of Skateboarding
Thanks for the update Monika
Tim Zom wins the 2009 Grandprix of Skateboarding and takes home $10.000 for his efforts. He is also the winner of the Best Trick which he nailed in the final seconds of the session. Photographer Jonathan Mehring places first in the Photocontest.

Rotterdam proofed to become the skateboardcapitol of Northern Europe, not only with the Grand Prix of Skateboarding but also with the the possibilty to skateboard the city. As with the past two editions of the WSR, this years Grandprix of Skateboarding also hosted the famous Photocontest. Photographers went all over Rotterdam metroplitan area with groups of their favorite skateboarders in search of the perfect photo. Jonathan Mehring wins the Photocontest this year with an amazing composition of wood, water and skateboarding. During the event the pictures were exhibited on a ship right next to the Erasmus Bridge and only the photographers were allowed to vote for the best picture with support from guest judges Brian Gaberman and Jason Rothmeyer. Congratulations to Jonathan Mehring, who got first, Marcel Veldman for second place and Eric Antoine for the third place.
Saturday started with a little bit of a lot of rain, but the sun came out on the afternoon and made the street course filled with skateboarders from over 22 nations: David Gonzalez from Columbia and his Flip mates Ben Norberg, Curren Caples and Axel Cruisbergh. Amongst the celebrities were also Kenny Anderson from California,
Jake Johnson and Dylan Rieder. The Emerica. team stopped by with Jerry Hsu, Aaron Suski and Collin Provost. Soon to be pro ams like Chima Ferguson from Australia, Max Kruglov from Russia and Dylan Perry from Tampa Florida were ripping the course like they didn’t party the day before. The contest was hosted by the Spotlight Production with Brian Schaefer and Vern Laird on the mics and guest star judges Kenny Hughes.
The street course build by IOU-Ramps was well respected but mother nature received the most respect this weekend. A three different level containing streetcourse included ledges, stairs, rails and a marble ledge, not to forget the huge wembley with a ledge to bank. Each skateboarder got three rides down and then a jam session of six minutes in heats of six. Tim Zom was not only crowd’s favourite, he ruled the course from the first minute like it was just build for him and also qualified first on Saturday.
The night continued in the WATT with a video premier and and the Fluff release party until the morning hours.Sunday was the day with the semi’s and the finals for 26 qualified skateboarders. 10 made the cut to the finals and they teamed up with the two golden ‘straight to the finals’ tickets winners from Saturday: Curren Caples and Tim Zom.
The finals started under a blue sky and twelve skateboarders did the best they can and made the crowd scream. Tim Zom was not only crowd’s favourite, but also the judges placed him first. Bastien Salabanzi, who won the first WSR in Rotterdam 2005, became second again and on the thirs place was Rob Maatman from the Netherlands. This all proves that Rotterdam is here to stay as a solid city for skateboarding.A full tricklist can be viewed at: skateparkoftampa.com

Thanks to the city of Rotterdam for this wonderful weekend! Thanks to Vans for the support. Thanks to Flip for bring the team over! The biggest Thanks goes to Marco Jongeneel for making the Grand Prix of Skateboarding 2009 happened and his crew for perfect organisation, Merel and Marjolein for fulfilling every wish, Bart Boot, the whole bink crew for getting everything up and down, the wonderful catering ladies for excellent food all day long. Thanks to Schuetzi from IOU-Ramps for a fantastic streetcourse, radar Berlin for the long breathe in making this event complete and the Spotlight Production Crew for hosting: Thanks Rob for being the fastest on the computer, thanks DJ Wade for the wonderful music, Jason Rothmeyer, Kenny Hughes and Matthieu Tourneur for judging thanks to Vern Laird and Brian Schaefer, we miss your voice already. Spotlight will be in Amsterdam hosting AmsterDamn AM next week (July 24th - 26th). More info www.skateparkoftampa.com

Chaz Ortiz Caught in the Middle as VIBE Magazine Folds

If you are fond of VIBE Magazine then get out your hanky, because it just went bye bye. If you are a photog named David Anthony break out your wallet to cover the photo shoot you just did featuring Chaz Ortiz.
It seems that during a shoot with the little big man, VIBE Media Group folded, leaving the photog holding the bag. In a post at pdnonline.com it is reported that David Anthony will be responsible for the studio costs and out a days work for the pics.
Looks like Photogs are going to have to start demanding prepayment before shoots now.

"It doesn't look good. I recently found out my ankle is off set to the right. Which means my knee can't take impact because I don't have a good base.
I would like to thank you and Jart for all your support, but this is it for me.
I can no longer skateboard as a Professional.
Thanks again

Jereme Rogers retires from Skateboarding-WOW!!

Looks like he's celebrating his retirement with a party tonight. I know he lost alot of his sponsors as of late but damn, Retirement.......crazy. Jereme is an amazing skateboarder and has definitly left his mark in skateboarding with amazing video parts, sick photos, and a unique personality. I had the pleasure of meeting Jereme a few years back and watching him skate was just mind blowing. He was soo consistent, doing everything within 3 tries and making the most difficult switch tricks look soo effortless. Aside from that being a really nice guy. Whatever happens to Jereme's life from here on out, he will always be remembered in the skate game. Good luck Jereme, this is deffinitly a shocker.

Unsuprisingly, Eric Koston joins the Nike SB team from the recently abandoned Lakai Footwear. With a bigger payroll and more opportunities, Kostons choice seems like it should do him good. Although some people are upset about his "sellout", Koston has to do whats right for him. Congrats!

Back To The Banks 2009 Results

5boros hosted the 5th annual Back to the Banks Contest on Saturday. The usually mid summer event was pushed up on the calender this year to bookend Red Bull's Manny Mania contest. Manny Mania which is held under the Manhattan Bridge was moved to accommodate the painting of the bridge in August.
Legends, heavy hitters, young guns, and the unknown battled the bricks, crowd, photogs and themselves for a trick worthly enough win $2000. The crowd was bigger and crazier than last year and so was the skating.
$10,000 cash was given out for five different awards:
Willy Akers $2000 for the Bank to Wall and Bank to Ledge sections.
$2000 for the Bump to Spine ledge. In his first appearance at Back to the Banks, the androgynous ripper got in more tricks than anyone. He took the chaos in stride snaking every chance he got.
Chris Blake $2000 for a switch front blunt down the Rail.
2nd place Timmy Knuth kickflip nosegrind down the Rail. My personal pick for 1st place. Timmy's been try to stick this trick at Back to the Banks since 07.
Collin Provost $2000 for the Overall ripper award.
Interstate will have more photos and video in the coming days so check back!

Bastien Salabanzi Wins adidas Skateboard Clash 2009
Creativity, top notch international skateboarding and relaxed moments – that was adidas clash, round 5, in a nutshell. It was a memorable weekend for both riders and spectators, with a creative new street course designed by Jan Kliewer, a freshly extended D.I.Y. concrete bowl, a highly anticipated premiere of the new adidas video “Diagonal” and perfect summer weather. The weekend was also a kind of comeback – that of a contest legend: a charging Bastien Salabanzi came in first. Prague's Martin Jurasek won the “Death or Glory Bowl Jam”. What happened on May 23rd and 24th was no business as usual. Just like last year, the sun was a special guest, but the street course was given a facelift by Berlin local and German Kingpin editor Jan Kliewer. Thanks to many new bank elements, a doubleset or a "Pier 7“ manual spot, the course was more versatile than ever and demanded some creative skills. The material used for the ledges was not only superb but historical: the granite stems from the old building of the “Palast der Republik” – photographer Adam Sello (Anzeigeberlin) helped to secure the sacred material.

The crowd of competitors was more international than ever. Riders like Klaus Bohms from Brazil, Benny Fairfax from England, Bastien Salabanzi from France or the American delegation aka Skater of the Year Silas Baxter-Neal, Tim O'Connor and Dennis Busenitz made for an incredible level of skating and demonstrates just how popular “the Clash” has become. The skating, the creative environment and the relaxed atmosphere in and around the hall – with sun chairs, catering, a bar and a cafe – attracted many people – over 3000 over the course of the weekend. The general good mood was raised even more with the premiere of the new adidas video "Diagonal“ in the crowded patio on Saturday night. From there, the crowd went straight to
the aftershowparty in the Cassiopeia club. The street course was dominated by creative skateboarders with fluid lines outside of the norm. The level of skating made yet another step, with serious bangers even in the runs. Hamburg's Michi von Fintel nailed a first try switch treflip down the doubleset, Dennis Busenitz ollied up the doubleset and Klaus Bohms nollie frontside noseslid the hubba ledge with ease. The riders used the whole weekend to get to know and skate the versatile street course – because the new elements created so many new possibilities. The atmosphere was relaxed all weekend and even the best trick contest was mellow, spread out over three different sessions.
Between heats, many riders took the opportunity and went for a few sessions in the self-made
concrete bowl at the back entrance of the hall. The bowl was beautiful, not only because of the
summery weather. Over the course of a few weeks, the bowl had been extended by the locals – now it takes up almost the full space of the patio. It's a unique piece of skateboard architecture that makes every trick a challenge – even just keeping enough speed to make it to the other side. The atmosphere in the bowl was just like last year – filled with adrenalin. Like gladiators, thecompetitors went for the battle aka „Death or Glory Bowl Jam“ – people like Germany's Anders Tellen, local ripper Jürgen Horrwarth, Martin Jurasek from Prague or Frenchman Seb Daurel. The crowd went nuts when the riders speeded through the corners and dropped in together in the jams, and they held their breath when two of them collided – Jürgen and Julian Dykmans. Most people expected broken ribs, but after a few minutes, both went away laughing. In the end, Martin Jurasek won with a huge transfer into the miniramp, high bs airs and switch wizardry.
The street competition's winner was a surprise – but then again not. During the weekend, Bastien Salabanzi pushed his level higher and higher. In the end, he hammered precise halfcab flips down the doubleset, flip backlips on the uprail and switch 270° frontboards down the rail.
3000,- Euros of a total purse of 9000,- Euros went to Bastien. He was followed by Axel Gruysbergh, with shorter hair and more energy on his board. A well deserved third place went to
Germany's Thomas Weber, who nailed incredible bigflips down the doubleset. Another highlight
came right after the final – Klaus Bohms' smooth flip back noseblunt on the hubba ledge, which
won best trick. The adidas Skateboard Clash is a longtime cooperative effort by the “Skatehalle Berlin” and adidas. After five consecutive events, it keeps on going and growing. Thanks to a new contract, the locationis now secured for the next decade. The contest and everything happening around the "Skatehalle Berlin“ is a direct product of Berlin's active skate scene.

Pro-Tec Pool Party Results
Wow what a contest! When the dust settled three Rock Stars stood alone on the podium. Bucky Lasek won his first PRO TEC POOL PARTY after four straight years of come just short with second and third place finishes. When Dave Duncan past him the mike Bucky said, "Well its about F'n time!" Omar Hassan took the 2 spot. A bruised but not broken Rune Glifberg took third. It is also noting the break out appearance of 14 year old Brazilian Pro Pedro Barros. In the Finals alley oop Mctwist, 540's, and super speed. Little man killed the shallow end too. Look to see more of this guy in the future.
Fuel TV is streaming the whole contest all week. If you missed it check it out. Also look for more great coverage from the Vans media crew.

Fuel TV To Host Live WebCast for PRO TEC Pool Party

Weeks ago in March Fuel TV beamed out all over the world the Street Finals at Tampa Pro in HD with great success. For an encore this Saturday the PRO TEC Pool Party will be aired live. Fuel TV's second stab at the live web cast format in HD will be equally as difficult as the first. The lip of the combi bowl is usually jammed packed full of spectators, photogs, and a few of the best bowl riders in the world. At Tampa three of these big camers were well placed and covered all the action. Expect all the angles to be covered and coverage equal to the skating.
The concrete sessions at Orange, CA's Vans Skatepark are heating up once again for the most anticipated bowl contest of the year. Held in a near replica of the notorious Upland Combi, over 40 top pros, legends, and ladies converge from around the world vying for their piece of the $90,000 purse in one of the most unforgiving bowls ever built.

Believe It Or Not, Koston Is Off Lakai.....so he says
Is this for real? Is Lakai playing a joke on everyone? After watching the video on the Lakai web site do I really believe it? Believe it or not its official: Koston is no longer on Lakai Fotwear.
![]()
From the Lakai web site posted today:
Wish we could say this is a belated April Fool’s, but unfortunately that isn’t the case. As of today, Eric Koston will no longer be a part of Lakai Footwear. We have arrived at this decision mutually and believe it will ultimately create a better situation for all parties involved. We thank Eric for his contributions to Lakai over the last three years and wish him well wherever his path may lead.
Check back for updates on were he will end up next.

Danny Wainwright Joins KR3W Family
KR3W APPAREL is very proud to announce the addition of one of the skateboarding world’s finest to our family, Danny Wainwright.
In addition to bringing his amazing skateboarding talents to KR3W, Danny will also contribute his valuable perspectives regarding the KR3W Europe team and marketing as well. “I’ve always wanted to be more involved with all the aspects of being on a team, both Manu and Ben have been extremely positive and supportive and I really look forward to get things rolling.”
Danny is currently dividing his time between managing his world famous skate shop Fifty-Fifty and bouncing between his hometown of Bristol and sunny Barcelona. When asked if there was truth to the rumors that he’s recently been skating a lot with the elusive Tom Penny, Danny responded, “It’ s really good to be out cruising with Tom again. We have known each other for many years. Lately we have been hooking up almost everyday and going out shooting photos and cruising new spots.”

Eric Koston On Jessup Grip!!!

2/17/09—Chicago based Jessup Manufacturing is proud to announce the addition of skateboard icon Eric Koston to it’s pro team. Jessup Manufacturing has been producing premium skateboard specific griptape since 1975. Currently residing in Los Angeles, CA, Koston hails from San Bernardino, California. Known for his technical wizardry and fearlessness, Koston is one of the most loved skaters of all time. Eric is currently a part of the Girl skateboard team and is also the founder of Fourstar clothing.
Eric Koston first began skateboarding at age 11. By the age of 18, Eric had stacked enough skills to turn pro, moving to San Diego to join the now legendary H-Street team in 1991. Shortly thereafter, Koston’s talents were recognized by skate legend and industry icon, Natas Kaupus, who convinced Koston to move to Los Angeles and join the 101 team. On 101, Koston established himself as a leading switchstance skateboarder - pioneering such technical tricks as the nollie flip noseslide and the switch kickflip backside tailslide. Of legend, Eric Koston landed a switch 360 flip down the Embarcadero 7 during his part in 101’s 1993 video, cementing himself as one of the most technically advanced skateboarders of his time. Koston’s stance is goofy, but he is known for his ability to skate switch. Known for his technical skill and fearless commitment, Koston is known to create new tricks at any given moment, on the streets, or in competition. He is also known for commercializing the competitive, HORSE-derivative, game of S.K.A.T.E. Koston has won numerous skateboard contests including; X-games, Gravity Games, Slam City Jam and the notorious Tamp Pro. Koston has also been voted Skater of the Year. Koston currently rides for Girl skateboards, Lakai shoes, Fourstar clothing, and Independent trucks.
Koston had this to say about the new relationship “I have been skating on Jessup grip since I was a kid, it has always been the best grip. I am stoked to be on the team.”

Chaz Ortiz Now On DC Shoes!

DC is pleased to welcome amateur phenom Chaz Ortiz to the illustrious DC Global Skateboarding Team. Check out dcskateboarding.tv for Chaz's new team page, plus an exclusive new interview and short video.
Hailing from Carpentersville, Ill, the 14 year old leads a life of opposites—a normal family life at home as he attends public school in the Chicago suburb, and a crazy life on the road, traveling and skating in front of 15,000 screaming fans. Off board, Chaz is a super humble kid; on-board, he possesses a rare combination of raw skateboarding talent and polished style. His first boost into skateboarding fame came in 2005 while on a trip to NYC, where DC brand manager Jefferson Pang and Harold Hunter (Zoo York) spotted him. From there he took off, collecting solid sponsors and steadily earning credibility.
When it comes to the contest circuit, Chaz has been on a rampage for the last two years, with ’08 proving extra successful. After kicking off the summer with 2nd place at Damn Am (Minneapolis, MN), Chaz tore through AST Dew Tour stops, chalking up five top four finishes (including two firsts) in route to becoming the 2008 Dew Tour Skateboarding Champion.
"I'm thrilled to welcome Chaz to the team, and excited about everything he brings to DC," said Ken Block, Co-founder and Chief Brand Officer, DC Shoes. "Thanks to legends like Danny, Colin, Dyrdek, Kalis, and the rest of the guys that have represented our brand over the last 15 years, the DC skateboard team has a reputation as the best in the industry. The addition of young, extremely talented skateboarders like Chaz reinforces that reputation, and ensures the DC legacy will continue for generations to come."
“It feels good to be a part of the crew again,” said Chaz about his addition to the team. “I’ve liked the shoes since I was a little kid. I look forward to skating with a lot of the dudes, and I think things will be good!”

New Bam Footage

Quality skateboard footage of Bam Margera is rare these days. Since Elementality (2005) I haven’t seen much more then a minute or two of new footage released- which is why I was surprised to see Element post some on there site. Because he doesn’t seem to be skateboarding that frequently anymore, I would have thought that any footage of him actually skateboarding would have been saved for a video part or DVD release. But, since he dropped his shoe sponsor (Adio), I guess he has been more dedicated to Element.
The footage itself is nothing really new, but would not disappoint any Bam fan. Honestly, it’s good to see some footage outside of Westchester PA and FDR Park. Bam’s first line starts off with a nollie flip, wallride and ends with backside bigspin off a curb. Nothing groundbreaking, but it’s good to see him on his board. Although he rides a little “stiffer” then he used to ride when he was younger, he still can pop all the same tricks. His final trick is a classic Bam signature, dropping off of a small building onto nice inclined concrete. Love him or hate him, check out footage of one of skateboards biggest personalities at elementskateboards.com.

Let's hope the economy and all those cut backs don't effect those skaters who are up for grabs from finding new homes! We'll keep you posted with any new announcements.
"Terell Robinson is confirmed on Mada. He’s the first of the split team to pick up a new apparel sponsor. And Phoenix, Arizona’s Aaron Homoki is the latest am on ejoi.
Sun Diego has let its team of eclectic rippers go – so if you’re a shop and looking to pick up John Rattray, Omar Salazar, Dan Drehobl, Clint Peterson, or A.V.E get cracking. Currently Peter Watkins is listed as the only skate teamrider on Sun Diego’s Site.
Jessup grip tape just announced its revamped team: pro skaters Colin McKay, Terell Robinson, Daxter Lussier, Chris Dobstaff, and Don Nguyen; and ams Dan Nepscha, Derek Burdette, Randy Ploesser, Shaun Gregorie, Bryant Chapo, Luis De Los Reyes (a.k.a. “Moose”), and Colin Hale.
Green Day bassist Mike Dirnt joins Pat Duffy on Macbeth footwear. Nate Broussard recently left the Skate Mental team for Michael Sieban’s newly formed Roger Skateboards. Broussard’s place has been filled with Shane “Nugget” O’Neill. Element has parted ways with Nyjah Huston." TransWorld Business

Alli: The Alliance of Action Sports
by Thomas Rowe

NBC the parent company of AST is making moves that would make Ted Turner proud. Quick history, Ted started CNN, TNT, The Cartoon Network, WCW and laid the ground work for cable news and television as we now know it. He took media to a new level like Danny Way and the Mega Ramp. NBC has complete action sports media domination on it’s mind. Last year MTV partnered up with AST and now a new reconstituted entity has emerged. Alli: The Alliance of Action Sports. Joining the alliance are Maloof Money Cup, AMA Motocross Championship and King of Wake series.
A bold move when in the past year GE’s (the parent company of NBC) stock has fallen considerably. But yet the green light has been given to acquire more of the action sports media market. No specifics were provided on the cost to bring in the new members to the alliance with NBC but in exchange, the Maloof Money Cup will receive one hour of coverage on NBC, two hours of coverage on MTV2 and one half-hour lifestyle program to be aired 10 times on MTV2.
What does all that mean for you the skater?
A new look on the web. If you type AST.com you are redirected to allisports.com, a cleaner sharper looking site than its predecessor. The old site still existed but will probably fade away. At Alli a lot of the video and photo content is achieved Dew Tour events with some new random stuff sprinkled in.

If you like the DEW Tour you will at lease get more of the same. It will probably get better. The Maloof Brothers redefined what a contest course and format should be with the Maloof Money Cup in July. The introduction of this marquee event gave AST two choices. Step up or step off. AST then began a steady evolution in the remain three stops of the tour. The park course turned more plaza, though cheesy with neon paint and graffiti. The Tour has an opportunity with this new partnership to re launch its skateboarding contest format, trash the four year old format and start new. No announcement on that yet but look for one.
“We’re excited to announce the Maloof Money Cup as one of the newest members to the Alliance of Action Sports. A ridiculously true-to-life three-day skateboard festival, the WCS-sanctioned Maloof Money Cup hosts three Championship competitions—Men’s and Women’s Pro Street, and Men’s Pro Vert—and the Amateur Championships. For our part at Alli, we will host MMC content on allisports.com, in addition to serving as a media liaison to NBC Universal and MTV Networks”

Full Press Release
NEW YORK – December 1, 2008 – NBC Sports and MTV, a division of Viacom’s MTV Networks (NYSE: VIA and VIA.B), announced today the creation of Alli, the Alliance of Action Sports™. Alli is a global business that joins the former Action Sports Tour properties (AST) with Maloof Money Cup, AMA Motocross Championship and King of Wake series to create the most diverse and robust action-sports offering in the world. The new umbrella brand, which will continue to be co-owned by NBC Sports and MTV, will offer a schedule of seven national and international action sports tours and events, multimedia content and production, a digital hub and consumer-facing lifestyle brand.
Building on the successful foundation of AST, Alli will serve as the owner and operator of the Dew Tour and Winter Dew Tour, Free Flow Tour, and the China Invitational. In addition, Alli has formed partnerships with industry leaders and premier properties: Maloof Money Cup, the AMA Motocross Championships, and the King of Wake series. Alli partners will continue to manage their respective events with the added benefit of television programming on NBC Sports and MTV, global media content distribution, sponsorship sales, and marketing and promotion across all platforms. A soon-to-be-launched digital hub will also serve as the online destination for all Alli properties and a leading source of all action sports content and news.
This announcement comes six months after the groundbreaking joint venture between NBC and MTV around the AST and its related businesses. This wide-ranging, strategic partnership expanded the business across NBC and MTV’s multiple screens, including action sports competition and youth-focused lifestyle programming, cross-promotion, multi-platform content and distribution, consumer products licensing and an enhanced digital offering. Moving forward under the Alli brand, the partnership will include over 80 hours of original programming offered annually across NBC, USA Network, MTV and MTV2
“Alli’s mission is to facilitate the momentous growth of action sports by showcasing both the competition and lifestyle aspect of these sports. We believe these are the sports of a new generation and Alli will bring together the best properties, athletes, and brands globally for the fans of action sports,” says Wade Martin, President of Alli, the Alliance of Action Sports.
“When NBC Sports launched the Dew Tour we knew there would be an opportunity to expand into other action sports. We are excited to bring the best programming across the entire action sports genre on multiple media distribution platforms to our audience,” says Kevin Monaghan, Senior Vice President, Business Development, NBC Sports & Olympics.
Added Jeff Yapp, Executive Vice President of Program Enterprises for MTV Networks Music & Logo Group, “This is a major step in building the business we imagined when we first partnered with NBC Sports. Building our online platform, creating a lifestyle brand, and expanding original content will positively impact the network of partners, athletes, fans and the action sports industry as a whole, which is everything that the alliance represents”.
An overview of the Alli properties is as follows:
Maloof Money Cup
Held for the first time in 2008, the Maloof Money Cup, owned and operated by the Maloof family, has quickly become the premier skateboarding event within the community and attracts every top athlete. Including three professional competitions – Men’s and Women’s Pro Street, and Men’s Pro Vert – and the Amateur Championships, it boasts the largest single event purse in skateboarding with over $450,000 in prize money.
AMA Motocross Championship
AMA Motocross Championship is the top outdoor series in motocross and draws elite rider talent from all around the world. The MX Sports-organized series, which began in 1972, spans 12 races across the U.S., and at the end of each year, the AMA National Motocross Championship titles are awarded based on the riders’ performances over the entire series.
King of Wake
As the elite pro wakeboarding circuit, the King of Wake series has attracted the sport’s top riders from throughout the globe. With more than $300,000 in prize money over the eight-event season, riders compete over the course of the year to be named the “King of Wake” – an award based on points accumulated at each stop of the series. Events include Wake Games, Pro Wakeboard Tour (5 events), WWA National Championships, and WWA World Championships. The King of Wake is organized by World Sports & Marketing – the leading wake event producers since 1988.
Dew Tour
The Dew Tour, the premier season-long series in action sports, consists of five major, multi-sport events, featuring skateboarding (park and vert), BMX (park, vert, and dirt), and FMX. Dew Tour is the most watched and attended action sports property in the world with over 250k spectators, 41 million total viewers and reaches over 100 countries worldwide. The events extend across the country, have a cumulative points system, and a $3.5 million competitive purse. The Dew Tour has been the cornerstone property of AST over the last four years, and its success has now enabled the formation of Alli, the Alliance of Action Sports. It crowns year-end champions including past Dew Cup winners Ryan Sheckler, Shaun White, Bucky Lasek, Jamie Bestwick, and Nate Adams.
Winter Dew Tour
The Winter Dew Tour is launching in December of ’08, and will expand Alli’s footprint into the winter action sports. It consists of three major, multi-sport events spanning across the country, with a cumulative points system, and a $1.5 million competitive purse. The tour will feature 29 hours of original television programming. Each event features men and women’s snowboard (superpipe and slopestyle), and men’s freeskiing (superpipe and slopestyle). Top athletes, Shaun White, Hannah Teter, Travis Rice, Simon Dumont, and Danny Kass, are already planning to compete.
Free Flow Tour
The Free Flow Tour, the Dew Tour’s official amateur series, provides amateur athletes the opportunity to earn a chance to compete against the pros in the Dew Tour. The Free Flow Tour consists of 50 events across 26 cities in the U.S., featuring skateboarding and BMX. The winners of the Free Flow Tour Finals compete against the pros at the Dew Tour’s PlayStation Pro in Orlando, Fla. Past Free Flow Tour winners include Chaz Ortiz (2007 Dew Cup Winner, Skate Park) and Mike Spinner (2008 Dew Tour Second Place, BMX Park).
China Invitational
The China Invitational is Alli’s first international expansion initiative. The inaugural China Invitational was held in April 2008 in Beijing, China and featured the top skateboarders competing in vert and park disciplines before a capacity crowd.

Buck Joins The 720 Club
After unsuccessful attempts in Dallas at the LG contest and the AST in Baltimore, Maloof proved to be a favorable place for his latest milestone. During the finals of the Maloof Money Cup Bucky Lasek pulled his first ever 720. Riding into it fakie, he grabbed Indy, was inverted and corked then rode away clean. I filmed both Dallas and Baltimore when he tried it. I was thrilled to be there again to see Bucky finally stick it.
Congrats to Buck!

Broke but not Broken Sheckler to skate at Maloof
Media reports have revealed that Ryan Sheckler has apparently broken his arm just four days prior to this week’s Maloof Money Cup at the Orange County Fairgrounds. Despite the unfortunate injury, Shecks still intends to skate to the best of his ability for a chance at the largest-ever first place prize of $100,000.

Andrew Reynolds Previews the Maloof Money Cup
This week in Costa Mesa, California the Maloof Brothers will be the latest entrepreneurs to enter into the skateboarding world. Owners of the Sacramento Kings and the Palms hotel casino in Las Vegas these billionaire boys have the coin and the vision to try something different, be corporate without being corporate. The three ring circus that has become the AST has had four years to get the corporate contest model on lock. From instructing their staff to remove Red Bull, Rock Star and any other product not under the Dew umbrella from camera view, to clamping down on any media coverage outside of Fuel and MTV these guys should take a look at what will go down this weekend.
Maloof seems to gets that skateboarding is the dominant and most enduring of the "Action Sports". No BMX, no FMX - just skateboarding.
The commitment appears to elevating the contest platform back to one of respect. The almost $500,000 for the best skateboarders is fitting for the talent they have assembled. Matching the caliber of skaters is a concrete street course that resembles something natural. With so many skater's opinions actulaly being listened to, the hype over the contest is well deserved. Here is Andrew Reynolds thoughts on the event:
Throw in a Game of Skate, a Jam for the Ladies and an am-contest all in a four day stretch, and this weekend should be one of the best in skating history.

Count Down to the Maloof Money Cup
The Dew Tour isn't the only game in town this summer.
If you haven't heard, $500k is getting kicked out to a select group of top Pros that have been invited to compete in the Maloof Money Cup for the biggest purse ever. The list of skaters is impressive, so it looks like the big money was enough to draw out even the most contest shy skaters. [See the list]
The interstate crew is heading out to Orange County for this blessed event, so as we gear up for July 11th we'll feature previews and news on the $$$Cup.
Check out what Rob Dyrdek Eric Koston, Danny Way and the Shek have to say.

Bucky Lasek joins in on Go Skateboarding Day 2008
Just hours before he was to compete in the AST Dew Tour Vert Finals, Bucky Lasek joined his hometown buddies for a ride through downtown Baltimore and the Inner Harbor Pavillion in honor of "Go Skateboarding Day 2008".
At one point he told a police officer to "raise the roof" when she tried to get him to not skate around the harbor pavillions. When the next officer approached Bucky he politely refused and said... "It's Go Skateboarding Day".
Get out there and skate... and when you get back in tonight check out our complete coverage of Go Skate Day and the AST Dew Tour Finals (street and vert tonight). CLICK FOR COMPLETE COVERAGE INCLUDING VIDEO AND PHOTOS (HERE).
Peace!

Chaz Ortiz Wild Card
So here we are and its June. Are you ready for this year's AST action? Most of us are tired of the Sheckler stories. Maybe now Chaz Ortiz will be the story of the summer.

Just 18 days from now Baltimore's Open Qualifier for the AST Dew Tour Begings. Thirty skaters compete. Only ten will qualify to join the 20 who are pre qualified. Pre qualifications require a skater finish in the top 16 the previous year. Do that your set, or you best get a wild card spot. Now there are a lot of "wild cards" out there. But these are the four AST invited.
1. Chad Fernandez – Strong showing recently at Tampa Pro and on the bubble for the 15 cut.
2. Paul Rodriguez- P Rod is sponsored by Mountain Dew
3. Rodney Jones- Baltimore local who had a disappointing showing last year.
4. Chaz Ortiz 14 year old Am ripper.
You recall Chaz won the Free Flow tour last year. He won the oppurtunity to skate against the Pros is Orlando. He landed a 6th place finish above some quality talent. 6th place garners a check of about $5000.00. Chaz who did not want to go Pro turned down the money. This caused some hard feeling with some of the skaters in Orlando. AST chose to keep the 6th place prize money. Most skaters who participated agreed the right thing for AST to do was to divvy up his share amongst all the riders below 6th place.
There is no official word if Chaz has accepted to wild card spot. He has to decide two weeks before the event starts in Baltimore. If he decides to compete this young Am will have turn Pro to compete. This could be the story the tour. Forget girls crying for Ryan. He's what this tour needs. MTV cameras invaded the Dew events last year cheapening the contest, making it all about one skater. Dew has a shaky reputation with skateboarders. If AST focuses on this new young talent for his talent and not his looks, the tour in its 4th year, could gain back some repectablity with those skaters who think the event has turned skateboarding into a circus.
Let’s hope he accepts the wild card and turns Pro, making this year more credible.

Rolling The Dice: The Skateboard Business

Nothing in life is certain. Well maybe death and taxes, the sun rising in the east and setting in the west, e=mc/2. Ok, a lot of things are certain.
Add to that: THE SKATEBOARD BUSINESS IS SKETCHY! Some of the characters in the game rival sleazy politicians.
So why get into it? Why not just skate?
For the love. The business of skateboarding is a necessary evil, ah good, I'm mean good. Check out Focus mags story on "the Biz" for further stories.
Skate shops provide a lot of good. Opening one in a neighborhood adds stability and gives a positive second home for kids. Baltimore is a tough city and needs all the positive influences it can get.
Gary Smith (Interstate contributor and Pro for Ergohobia, Hoodlum, Krux Dakine, Mobtown) and
Chris Donmoyer (Ergophobia Sales Manager) are two good guys who are willing to trade on there names as skateboarders and put up their reputations in the skateboard business.
On June 7th they'll open Vu skate shop in Baltimore.
Interstate wishes these guys the best and all the success in the world.
Last year I started on a new path in skateboarding launching this web site. I felt just like these guys do now.
Here in their own words are their aspirations and fears.
The best way I can explain the butterflies in my stomach and lump in my throat is through skateboarding. Opening my own shop is like riding up to a rail I’ve always wanted to smith grind but not knowing the outcome. Instead of broken teeth and a fractured ankle I would be dealing with a broken wallet and bank CEO, s wearing pin strip Armani suits. Lets go back to the smith grind for a second; I wouldn’t be riding up to the rail or even contemplating it if I wasn’t 100% sure I could do it.
This is the one thing years of skateboarding has taught me, if I want something bad enough I can get it. This doesn’t mean I won’t have to work endless nights placing orders, building walls, and running around town looking for the city Comptroller’s office to get a paper signed. What’s the difference really between grinding a rail I’m scared shitless of and opening up a shop. With both I must believe in myself and realize the trail and error involved. I finally feel grown up (well as much as I can being a skater) and am fortunate enough to be a part of this skateboarding family. With Vu I will continue spreading my skateboard seed long after I’ve smith grinded my last rail. Thanks for all the support our door is always open and will remain open after June 7th hope to see you in the near future, SUPPORT SKATER OWNED AND OPERATED SHOPS….. Gary Smith
In an economy that everyone seems to be complaining about, is the time that myself, Chris Donmoyer, and Gary Smith decide to open up a skateshop. Of course you might ask yourself why but that the thought of that never came to mind for us…honestly. To the skateboarders reading this site…I think you know exactly the reason why. We are skateboarders who love what we do and took it amongst ourselves to make a change for the better. To tell you the truth, we were just tired of the wrong people cashing in on something that they weren’t even involved in or loved. Business 101: If starting a business, make sure you back it 100% percent. Any doubt you have should results in tossing it out the window.
To make a change means taking it amongst yourself and applying your ideas. Whether you fail or succeed. Only you define what is a failure or a success. No matter what, at the end of the day, the lease, life, etc…I can say that Gary and myself will still be skateboarders and knowing that we made a change for someone is just something that is beyond words. We welcome all of you into our shop. Even if you don’t purchase anything, please feel free to come and hang out, drink a beer, skate the miniramp, or just talk about life. Please send us emails, come to the events, and introduce yourself because we are here to share skateboarding and much more with you. We are skateboarders and always will be.
Wish I could go into all of the detail about the stress that comes with this business (bank, paperwork, invoices, accounts, orders, phone calls, meetings, business plan, deadlines, traveling for tradeshows, team riders, etc) but that would just bore you. Hell, I’m writing this at 2:14 AM and have been doing work since 10:30 AM. I might get 4 or 5 hours of sleep a night (just ask Gary about that one). For all of this, I wouldn’t trade a single thing. To all of the people that I have met, whether it’s people I’ve come across while working for Ergophobia, Skatepark of Tampa, skate camps, Satori, previous shops, in and outside of the industry, etc…you’re a big part of my life. You’ve made this happen and have given me the drive. So thanks to everyone who supports us and I look forward to sharing this dream with all of you.
Much Love,
Chris Donmoyer

Andy Macdonald goes for Vert/Street Medals at Asian X
Find more videos like this on interstate
After taking the gold medal in the Vert competition with three flawless runs, Andy Mac tried to get another medal in the street competition. The Positiv Pro 360 melon the ski jump, 50/50 the big wall, varial grab transfers, and even a tre flip in his runs. Good, but not enough for the podium. He got 4th.
Maybe this will start a trend with street guys entering the vert compitions.

Top 5 Moments At Tampa Pro 08

Danny Montoya and me.
It’s hot it’s crowded and the adult beverages were consumed out of paper cups. The festivities that went down this past Easter weekend were better than any Cancun spring break. Who cares about frat parties and flip-flops when you could be watching Stefan Janoski do switch flip crooks down a rail. This is how I spent my weekend (or what I remember of it) skating and watching my favorite rippers do what they do best, so here is my top 5 favorite moments of the weekend.

Kerry Getz, Brian Anderson, and Bam with his arm around my sweety Trisha.
5… Going to the industry parties is always a blast. This year they had Band Of Horses play (Guy Mariano song Lakai vid) a free show for everyone in the contest. The best part about it is that I watched them from the Red Bull vert ramp.
4 … Vern Laird works for Listen and was helping announce the contest. If you don’t know Vern he’s from the Philly area and loves to talk crap. I got off easy and was only called out for being short. My favorite quote from Vern was on Stefan Janowski. Stefan skates so effortless that he looks like he is sleeping, so when Vern told everyone he had a sleeping pill sponsor I almost lost it.
3… Sometimes people who are pro just disappear off the face of the Earth, so at first thought it seems like they quit skating. This is not the case for Matt Beach and Chad Fernandez. They both made it to the top 10 and destroyed the course. Even if they did stop skating for a while they never lost their talent. I was hyped to see both of them out there and will being more of them in the future. Congrats to Matt for getting on Skate Mental.
2… The pressure of judging the top 3 of this contest would have made my eyes bleed. With John Rattray’s skills of skating everything, Greg Lutzka flawless tech run, and Mike Peterson’s backside boneless from high to low quarterpipe, there’s no doubt why they ended up in the places they did. Mike Peterson smiling his whole run landed 3rd. John Rattray makes the chief Jamie Thomas happy by getting 2nd and Greg Lutzka taking home 20grand for first.
1… My favorite part of the weekend had nothing to do with tricks landed on a skateboard. Friday night there was an art show in Ybor city, which made my childhood dreams come true. Mark Gonzales, Neal Blender, and Lance Mountain held the show. Seeing photos and art pieces of boards I used to ride made me feel 12 again. Not to mention Mark Gonzales was there in the flesh. I tried hard not to fan out but it wasn’t easy. Rowe shot some great pics of the event, check back later for more photos of skateboardings finest faces who attened this awesome event!

Legends Jim Thiebaud, and Lance Mountain.
I could have easily have done a top 100 list for this contest but who wants to read a novel about my experiences at Tampa. 2009 Pro is now less than a year away so cut grass, work at Subway, or turn pro that way you can go to Tampa and make your own experiences happen. Oh yea if your wondering how I skated in the contest look around the 41st place, not bad for an old man huh.

The Skate Gods Were On Our Side (Part 1)
I just got home from one of the greatest skate trips I’ve ever been on. This could have been the best trip for multiple reasons. For one we went to Phoenix, AZ and Albuquerque, NM, which is the perfect place to be when it’s winter on the east coast. It was 80 degrees and I got to work on my farmers tan. The crew I rolled with helped to elevate the trips morale with their personalities and fun antics. Most of the skaters I’ve known for a while but their were a couple of news faces. I’m fortunate enough to say by the end of this trip these new faces became my friends and that’s what skateboarding is all about.
Since Ergophobia clothing has been building up their skate team lately they figured it was time for us to go out and handle some business. The squad consisted of Ronnie Creager, Andrew Cannon, Tom Guilfess, Sean Hale, Ki Realer, Thad (filmer), Matt Price (SkateBoard Mag Photographer), special guest Blind pro Jani Laitiala, and me.
Let me shed some insight on each one of these individuals and why they brought some much to the table. Ronnie Creager has been pro for 16 years and one of my all time favorites on and off his board. Riding for the same company as Ronnie has been a dream come true. Jani Laitiala was staying at Ronnie’s house so he came to New Mexico with us. Jani is from Finland and the only thing I knew about him was how amazing he is on a skateboard. After meeting him his skating wasn’t the only thing I respected. It was his unique love for life and the blinging smile he always had plastered on his face.
I’ve known Andrew Cannon for a couple years now; he’s originally from West Chester, PA but is now going to school in Phoenix. His high energy and constant clowning around kept everyone in tears the entire trip. He is also the reason why this trip happened.
Tom lives right down the street from me and I’ve been skating with him a lot lately. He is a good Christian kid with a pure heart. As far as skating goes he’s charged up and ready for anything. Sean Hale is from the mid west so I’ve only met him a couple times. Him and Tom are good friends and both ride for Untitled skateboards. Sean like Tom is also a good Christian. This is why Andrew gave them the nicknames “Rod and Todd” from the Simpson’s. I was hyped on both of them for staying true to their beliefs and not judging the rest of us. Even if they didn’t approve of what we did or for Andrew having an upside down cross tattoo.
I think Ki Realer was supposed to play for the Lakers instead of being a sponsored skateboarder. He is almost 7 feet tall and loves chicken. Ki lives in Philadelphia so I get to hang out with him a lot. People probably laugh when they see us together because of our height differences. We both love hip hop and talking crap to each other.
I never met Thad or Matt Price before this trip. Hanging out with Matt made me feel like I was
living the movie Super Bad. He looks and talks like Jona Hill and had me laughing so hard I nearly pissed my pants. I hung out with Thad my first night in Phoenix. We went to a local Brewery sucked down a couple and became instant friends. We share a lot of the same interest and love apples. I knew after only one night of hanging out with the Brimley squadron it was going to be a great trip.
The skating part of the trip will have to be continued till next time. I assure you when you read what went down and see the footage/photos in the future you will know that Ergophobia clothing is not “F” ing around. Stay tuned for more skateboard enjoyment soon.
Part 2 Next Week!

TWS's "The Now" and Cliche’s "Deja Vu" Videos
TWS is currently in full-swing with filming and production of its new video titled “The Now” featuring David Gravette, Kenny Hoyle, Matt Miller, Richie Jackson, Nick Trapasso, and Sean Malto. Look for it to drop this summer.
It’s been in the making for quite some time now, but the final edits and renderings are being made to Cliche’s Deja Vu video which will be released for early Spring.
This video effort is a collective project where the Cliche’ team’s best footage from the last four videos (Europa, Bon Appetit, Freedom Fries and Hello Jojo) has been provided to a special guest editor and remixed for each team rider. This sounds brilliant and we can't wait to see it.
The featured parts are:
Lucas Puig edited by Ty Evans
Joey Brezinski edited by Roger Bagley
Ricardo Fonseca edited by Greg Hunt
Javier Mendizabal edited by Mike Manzoori
Andrew Brophy edited by Dan Magee
Cale Nuske edited by Scuba Steve
Jeremie Daclin edited by Dan Wolfe
Charles Collet edited by Ewan Bowman
JB Gillet edited by RB Umali
What’s more, Cliche’s Deja Vu DVD will also feature a bonus uncut version of the Gypsy Tour 2.

Man Dies in Skate Park Collision
The account of this traggic accident brings to light the importance of safety. Even at a public or private skate park were protective measures are the rule or at least strongly encouraged, injuries can occour. We skate partly for the danger and of the possibly we could get hurt. But let's not get hurt or die needlessly. Simple awareness of other skaters around you and comunication with them will save alot of down time down due to injuries.
NASHVILLE, Tenn.- An accident, left one man dead Friday afternoon after colliding with another person at a local skate park.
Michael Jeansonne, 44, and his twin brother Anthony collided at the Two Rivers Skate Park on Friday. Michael was wearing a helmet, but somehow he was still seriously hurt. He later died. Both men are from Louisiana. But did Jeansonne do everything right, when it came to wearing the right safety gear?
The accident Friday didn't stop people from skating on Saturday. The park was packed from open to close.
At Two Rivers Skate Park there are the experts, and there are the beginners. Vincent Morris and his friends were at the park Friday night, just after the accident happened.
"The two brothers collided, his helmet came flying off and he hit his head on the concrete," said Morris.
While Jeansonne was wearing a helmet, some witnesses said he didn't have it strapped on correctly.
"If you watch you'll see a lot of close calls, and it's got me nervous as can be with my son out there," said one parent, Anthony Klingenburg.
Metro Parks is also doing its part to keep riders safe. Riders can be fined if they are not wearing a helmet. Security cameras are installed that are can be monitored by park police 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Burton Acquires Alien Workshop And Habitat
Burton Acquires Alien Workshop And Habitat
DNA Distribution, which includes skateboarding brands Alien Workshop, Habitat and Reflex, today announced that the company has been acquired by Burton.
The two companies began discussions over a year ago and found that they share a common approach in the way that they contribute to boardsports culture, including a commitment to creating long-lasting relationships with their teams of international athletes. In addition, both are committed to advancing and innovating hardgoods technologies, as well as the artistry and creativity associated with these sports; supporting a solid team of amateur riders; and providing best customer service practices.
DNA Distribution will continue to operate in Dayton, Ohio and CEO and Co-Founder Chris Carter will continue to oversee the DNA brands, which include Alien Workshop, Habitat and Reflex Bearings.
“We are very excited to bring the DNA family of brands to Burton - a company that we truly respect,” says Chris Carter, Chief Executive Officer for DNA Distribution. “Burton clearly leads their market in terms of team, innovation, marketing and values. Joe, Mike and I look forward to leveraging Burton's strengths to reach the full potential for the DNA brands: Alien Workshop, Habitat and Reflex.”
“Through surfing and snowboarding we have learned that hardgoods are the foundation of all boardsports, and with the addition of DNA to our family, we are on our way to delivering skaters what they want and expect,” says Jake Burton, Founder and Chairman of Burton. “As with Al Merrick and the crew at Channel Islands, the relationship with Chris, Mike and Joe at DNA has been a natural fit right from the start. Everyone around here is committed to growing Burton into a true boardsports company, so I am confident that we can provide a home where DNA and their team of skaters can build upon what they have already excelled at in the skate industry.”
“We couldn't have found a better company to work with than DNA,” says Laurent Potdevin, Burton’s Chief Executive Officer. “Burton and all of its brands are authentically committed to snowboarding, surfing and skateboarding without distractions from other sports, products or categories. This acquisition completes a strategy that we have been very focused on for quite some time and marks a new milestone in the evolution of Burton and its family of brands.”

Shaun White Arrested?
On December 19th Shaun White was charged with second degree criminal tampering (a misdemeanor.) The 21 year old Pro skateboarder,Pro snowboarder and Amateur prankster allegedly set off a fire extinguisher at the Beaver Run ski resort in Colorado. The Breckenridge Police Department report stated a hotel video camera captured the footy. A man was seen removing the fire extinguisher from the wall and placing it on the ground, "then a large cloud of smoke begins to develop as the extinguisher is discharged by the male." After some great CSI work by the Brek police, they matched tread pattern of the Flying Tomatoes' shoes to the footprints left in the dust caused by the fire extinguisher. Sherlock would be proud. White was read his Miranda rights. Then "mum" was the word for White who refused to answer questions from police. An odor of alcohol was detected his breath as criminal summons was issued to White who then returned to his hotel. A court date was set for March 10. If found guilty of the offense, he most likely will be fined. White had better bring cash. The Summit County Po Po doesn’t take American Express.

LG Actions Sports Championships - Team Brazil Favorite to win in Dallas
This weekend Rodolfo Ramos, the 2006 LG Action Sports Skate Park Champion, will defend his title in Dallas. He will have tough competition. Fellow countrymen and brother, Wagner Ramos, Rodil de Araujo, Jr., Fabrizio Santos, Tulio de Oliviera, Danilo do Rosario, and Fabio Sleiman will also be competing.

As of late, this tight group of Brazilians has consistantly done well in contests. Rodolfo Ramos, Frabrizio Santos, Tulio de Olivera, and Rodil Araujo Jr., have all placed third or better at Dew Tour events this year. It has become common to hear Portuguese spoke around the winners podium as the trophies are handed out.
Brazilian skaters are very well respected in international sk8boarding do to a tech heavy, smooth style that is powerful and consistent; expect any one or all of them to place. (Right: Rodolfo Ramos warming up. Photo by David Stuck)

The Brazilians will face notable sk8ers, Greg Lutzka fresh of a 1st place finish in Orlando, and Wild Cards, Austen Seaholm, Rodney Jones.

Checking in with Forest Skateboards
Visit Forest Skateboards, you don't have to buy anything, but after checking out their boards and clothing designs you just might!

The signature leaf logo pays homage to trees and to the wood that is used for boards we skate on. Full paterned shirts carry wood grain, tree bark and some interesting characters out of a twisted "Green Eggs and Ham". The great art does not stop with the clothing.

(Right: Forest Pro Fabrizio Santos on the big rail in Orlando.
The board line has the same trippy theme on its graphics. I especially like the Wood Monkey Wood Grain model. I also favor the Fabrizio Santos models.
The graphics are as cool Fabrizio. Got to mention...He is one of the nicest guys to talk to. Fabrizio and the rest of the team have a great company standing behind them.
Some of the buttons on the site are under construction so check back from time to time to see what they add.
Interstate wishes Forest success in the future and hopes you will support them!

Maloof Money Cup being billed as Superbowl of Skating

What will you be doing next July? I can tell you what we'll be doing... basking in the sun at the Orange County Fairgrounds and its 40,000 square feet of skating goodness...
Scheduled for July 11-13, 2008, The Maloof Money Cup will include three professional United States Championship competitions, a United States amateur event, a youth skateboarding camp, and an interactive festival featuring action sport retailers and skateboarding activities.
Highlighting the weekend's events will be the US Pro Street Championship, which will feature a $100,000 first prize and what promises to be the most innovative and intense street course in professional skateboarding today. Always a fan-favorite, the US Pro Vert Championship will award $75,000 and a tricked-out SUV to the winner who exhibits the best 'big air' and 'off-the-wall tricks' possible. The US Women's Pro Street Championship will include the largest first prize in women's professional skateboarding history with $25,000 going to the winner.
"World Cup Skateboarding is thrilled to be involved with the Maloof Money Cup. With a history of organizing professional skateboarding competitions around the world for the past 15 years, we are truly excited to finally see skateboarding come of age with a premier skateboarding-only event in the United States. Bringing the event to the Orange County Fairgrounds in Southern California, the energy center of the skateboarding industry and the birthplace of skateboarding, is like bringing it all home. We look forward to the future of this event," states Don Bostick, founder of World Cup Skateboarding.

What others are saying...
"This is the sort of news flash I have been waiting to come as the skateboard industry continues to grow and attract bigger and financially stronger sponsors. The Maloof Money Cup will be the largest purse ever to be up for winning in the history of skateboarding!..." Europeskate.com
"Pro skaters, listen up. It seems there is some serious money about to be thrown your way. The bar has been raised considerably for what has previously been considered the largest purse in skateboarding competition..." Extreme365.com
"Hmmmm $400,000 in payouts for a skate competition? Jeebus that's like a rapper's first record contract type money. Well apparently the Maloof Brothers (the ones that brought you the Palms Casino and the Sacramento Kings) are planning to pay out that much in their Maloof Money Cup..." lat34.com
