09' Leaves some Pro Skaters Homeless
Lincoln Udea on Hosoi Skates, Rune Glifberg and Ronnnie Creager both of etnies, Jereme Rogers off DVS, Gatorade signs Chaz Ortiz, Flo Mirtain on Cliche', that was the first batch of those who made moves in 09'.
TW Business reports more changes in sponsorships. While the cuts usually garner most of the of attention the large number of them is also worth noting. Let's hope the economy and all those cut backs don't effect those skaters who are up for grabs from finding new homes! We'll keep you posted with any new announcements.
"Terell Robinson is confirmed on Mada. He’s the first of the split team to pick up a new apparel sponsor. And Phoenix, Arizona’s Aaron Homoki is the latest am on ejoi.
Sun Diego has let its team of eclectic rippers go – so if you’re a shop and looking to pick up John Rattray, Omar Salazar, Dan Drehobl, Clint Peterson, or A.V.E get cracking. Currently Peter Watkins is listed as the only skate teamrider on Sun Diego’s Site.
Jessup grip tape just announced its revamped team: pro skaters Colin McKay, Terell Robinson, Daxter Lussier, Chris Dobstaff, and Don Nguyen; and ams Dan Nepscha, Derek Burdette, Randy Ploesser, Shaun Gregorie, Bryant Chapo, Luis De Los Reyes (a.k.a. “Moose”), and Colin Hale.
Green Day bassist Mike Dirnt joins Pat Duffy on Macbeth footwear. Nate Broussard recently left the Skate Mental team for Michael Sieban’s newly formed Roger Skateboards. Broussard’s place has been filled with Shane “Nugget” O’Neill. Element has parted ways with Nyjah Huston." TransWorld Business
