Billy Waldman Update
by Thomas Rowe

Does anyone remember the World Industies video 'Rubbish Heap?' Whether you do or not is unimportant, what is important is that in that video a bright young star was born? Thirteen year old Billy Waldman spit forth the now infamous lines, "I hate reggae music... I hate it." From that point forward this red headed menace was the punch line of all things World Industries. He was featured in a full page ad in every skateboard magazine on the shelves. The photo was taken by a lesser known would be hero named spike jonze (whose name appeared on exactly none of the images), and the caption below read, "this is billy waldman, just be glad he doesn't ride for you."

What was it like to skate with...Billy Waldman?
Another natural, crazy cat who had Tony Hawk-like ability until he found weed. It was all downhill from there. Come back, Billy!!
Living in Sao Palo with a wife and kid, speaking some Portuguese but with a
New York accent. And yes, we confirmed it. He still hates Reggae Music.
