Super Park Competition After Thouhts

by Demian Callihan

This year in the X games they added a new event called superpark. It was a completion based on current bowl style parks. This was the most X citing event for me to watch, as far as it is my favorite type of terrain to skate. The format was cool too, more of a laid back jam with most of the riders wearing no pads. Not Andy Mac though, he was all geared up for war, determined to place top five. Rune effortlessly flew around the park from the get go with solid runs and steady high scores.

Always a pleasure to watch skate, Chad Bartie proved once again that he is a force to be reckoned with on all terrain. Omar Hassan killed every corner of the park with the power and consistency of a true veteran. Tony Trujillo never comes to a contest without some tricks up his sleeve and this time was no exception, showing up with a bulletproof suitcase handcuffed to his wrist. He started out rough and then after two dead runs he must have gotten pissed because he fired up his T-n-T and scorched around the park, making the ramp builders fearing skatelite fires.

Anti-Hero is not exactly know for a major contest presence in something like the X games, but I wouldn’t put it past them to send Trujillo out to show the world they mean business.
