AST Dew Tour: Baltimore 2008 Vert Wrap Up
One year after a reoccurring knee injury kept Bucky Lasek from show casing his full potential, Baltimore's favorite son retuned to show his home town what he is made of. Coming in as the number one and number two qualifiers Bucky and PLG had the luxury of extra practice time and a bye in the Qualifier round. The good friends slugged it out but in the end Bucky finshed on top and PLG got second.
Bob Burnquist showed no sign of injury after a fall off the side of the vert to the black top the night before. He finished third and grabs the only remaining pass for the finals in Cleveland.
Rob Lorface took a fall on the flat and bumped his head. The crowd on quiet as he laid there awaiting medical attention. The slam was very similar to way Shaun White fell last year in Orlando.
Rob was checked out at the hospital and returned to watch the podium ceremonies. I asked him about it and he said "I don't remember anything til I was in the ambulance, it still hurts a little." Later at the after party I talked to him again and he said, I feel even better and I’m just glad to be around my friends.
